A dentist Prestwich is told that he was released after losing 10,000 confidential patient files to work with.
Omer Butt, age 33, had to move his storage compartments and the computer out of the way during renovation work at the clinic of the smile of the Unsworth in Parr Lane.
But a Ford Transit rental of that contains the records was stolen from Alms Hill Road in Cheetham Hill on 13 July 2008.
December last year, had a General Dental Council (GDC) panel ruled Mr. Butt, Sheepfoot, a "complete disregard for patient confidentiality" shown and conditions on his practice for one year.
The excluded his actions were "serious" and "deplorable", and invite him to complete a personal development plan designed to address patient confidentiality and information security.
After a review hearing the GDC found he now suited to practice free again — though he is not yet the plan.
Julie MacFarlane said the President of the Commission: "the Commission believes that you have a salutary lesson learned and insight into the severity of your impairment have shown."
Mrs Macfarlane said there was "considerable difficulty" in the completion of the plan of personal development, that went "above" the conditions laid down by the GDC.
She said: "in spite of these difficulties, this Commission has evidence of rapid and effective action the crucial aspects that gave rise to the conditions imposed at initial hearing to address seen."
The Panel heard that the dentist had worked with a security consulting firm to work on risk management and data protection, and were convinced that there is now good procedures embedded in the whole exercise.
Ms. Macfarlane told the dentist: "your fitness to practice is no longer damaged and there is no danger to the public in the withdrawal of the conditions previously on your registration and conclusion of the case."
The dentist has previously appeared before the GMC to refuse to deal with women, unless she wore traditional Islamic clothing.
In September 2007, was Mr. Butt formally rebuked by the GDC and found guilty of serious professional misconduct.
