A private dental school of the Silver State opens after a lack of State funding delayed the you have plans to the first in Utah.

"We're really excited," said Victor Sandoval, Associate Dean for academic affairs at the University. "Utah residents have had to travel across the country to (dental) school. It is a real attraction for them to be able to remain here for their education. "
Of the school program features a state-of-the-art facility of the five floors with Radiology possibilities. The school will accept from 50 to 55 students for the fall semester and already has more than 1,100 requests received.
"The quality (applicants) is excellent. We are very, very pleased, "said Sandoval.
Although the various possibilities for dentistry-bound students through the dental Education Program at the Health Sciences Center, is no dental school.

The program is an educational programme of the cooperative dental between the State of Utah and Creighton University School of Dentistry, located in Omaha, Neb. students complete one year of dental school and transfer to Creighton.
The GPR is a postgraduate program accredited by the American Dental Association and staffed by dentists who have graduated from dental school but wish to introduce additional experience in working with a variety of patients in a hospital environment.
