Creative Franklin dentist keep patients comfortable on the art of dentistry

FRANKLIN — walk through the two 10-foot mahogany doors leading to a lobby filled with waterfalls and a fireplace, people would never believe they are in a dentist's Office. But that is only the beginning of the unique experience in the art of dentistry.

Patients are treated to flavored coffee, hot chocolate and fine English tea as they appear in the comfortable chairs to sit and watch television or using two internal drives, while they wait on their appointment.

She meets A greeter at the entrance, and patients sign on to a computer, where they get their medical history, while the practice can update completely paperless. They are escorted to one of 10 treatment areas, each with noise and temperature control, paraffin hand wax treatments and state-of-the-art equipment. Each luxurious leather dentist Chair overlooking a lush garden filled with sunlight and a soothing waterfall.

"The idea was to something completely different and relaxed," said Dr. Bruce Roland. "People want to come here. They're not nervous about their dental appointments. "

The art of dentistry offers much more than just dental work. A nutritionist is on the staff, and a massage therapist offers Swedish, hot stone massages and sport. A Cosmetology room, that its services and facial treatments, is in the works, and Roland is taking courses on injectable derma fillers, which fill out of lines and wrinkles in the face.

The Agency also has a Photo studio, where customers can have professional pictures taken after their smile makeovers are complete. Roland partner, Dr. Devon Berry, trained in the straightening of teeth with Invisalign braces.

"We call it the art of dentistry and Spa," said Katie Dodd, the Office greeter. "It is a complete and-body-service. Everyone here is passionate about what they do. "

In a soundproofed room, kids playing X-Box, Wii or "Guitar Hero," while waiting for their appointments. Closed circuit television allows parents to watch their children on a monitor from the room of their treatment.

Roland, 57, is married to a dental hygienist and has two adult sons. He has been in practice for 32 years, formerly works from route 27 in the Somerset section.

He started planning its spa concept six years ago. The 8,000-square-foot Office opened in 2008. The practice, that network of insurance, prices with the move to the new excavations not to increase.

"Money is not my motivation," said Roland. "My goal is to help people get healthy and makes a great experience to help."

Roland's mother was an artist, so art creating and working with his hands a large part of his upbringing. He feels that he has the best of both worlds in its new practice.

"Dentistry is changed to include many more aesthetics," he said. "Integration of art in dentistry is very happy for me."
